I didn't know this one was out and about...It's the Roush machine right?

I saw it over at fence check....

No offense, but, another Old Crow ? Great to finally see the Malcom hood ,but there were so many other worthy possibilities. And yes, I know that when I get my Mustang that I can paint it any color I want !

Can't wait to see this one at AirVenture! I love the look of the Malcolm Hood - now if only someone would do one on a razorback P-47. Aren't there a couple in restoration somewhere?

Why am I looking at that and thinking it doesn't look right... if it is the Roush mustang, why haven't we heard more? I thought it was still being worked on at Teeters' place?

The proportions seem off to me... perhaps it's just the angle?

Ryan:

It doesn't look right because it isn't. Look at the stacks, length of fuselage and the curve of the nose (nose is way too "deep"), also the ITTY BITTY PROP BLADES. Its a homebuilt......

I agree about the proportions...it looks like a scaled replica to me!

Looks like a homebuilt replica to me too!

Yeah, Ryan, you're right. Doesn'y look right cuse its not right. Thought the Malcom hood loked funny when I first saw it. It doesn't have enough "bubble".

saw this plane somewhere...can't remember where, but I think it is powered by an inverted Ranger and is roughly 3/4 scale.

Speaking of Malcolm hooded Mustangs, does anyone have any news on John Sessions' B model at Pacific Fighters? The last photos I saw were of it in either January or February, and they were looking forward to finishing it up soon and begin test flights. In the photos I saw of it, I was impressed by the accuracy of the Maclolm hood and the originality of the cockpit.

Good afternoon,
This is a 2/3 scale Mustang with the inverted Ranger engine. It is based at our airport here in Timmonsville, S.C. It is kinda weak on the t.o. performance but looks good in the air. Take Care,

Sonny

No worries Zane - I only took a quick glance at the photo links and it caught me too. Even so, the real Roush P-51 with Malcolm Hood is scheduled to be at AirVenture (if it is in fact finished in time), and I can hardly wait to see it.

I told Roush last year in Oshkosh that if it didn't have the whitewalls when it comes in, it will soon after.

That would actually be kind of cool to see them paint on during AirVenture - kind of like painting the name on "Ruff Stuff" during the show last year...
