Wow, that was quick. Our Sea Fury had the tail wheel shock strut attach bolts break. There was no damage to the gear doors, just grinding away of the gear fork, which will need to be replaced. A couple of hours work, when we get the part. The airport manager made a FOD run down the runway and brought about 6 items he found on the runway. I told him thanks, but none of it was from the Sea Fury.

Glad there is no injury, bummer on the possible damage. I ahve been planning or hoping to go up to CAvanaugh Flight Museum to get a Fury checkout or intro; was just trying to brace for the expense. I guess it will be something for the future.

Doug I am so glad to hear only minor damage. Sure do hate to see a nice airplane get tore up. Best wishes in getting things repaired. :)

Doug:
I have some spare parts, too. And also, none of it is Seafury.
G'Luck on the repairs.....

I'm also glad to hear nobody was hurt and that the damage was minor. Good luck in getting her back in the air.

Glad you could re-use the airplane, and no injuries.

Or . . . a new part of the SF training program you're doing . . . just like in the sim's . . . a real emergency?

Seriously glad all went well . . . we need your SF around to help produce & train us a buyer for Mike's!
