I have Flew on 909 a few times. Never get tired of the sound of start up, run up at take off. Great video :supz:

That is a really awesome video. It gives the feeling not of a video filmed recently, but of one filmed during WWII.

I have a question for you. What kind of microphones and sound equipment did you use to pick up the sound so beautifully? That was definitely movie quality sound!

By the way, I also checked out your other B-17 video on youtube titled "Paul Bosworth - B-17 Tailgunner and POW." That too was beautifully shot and edited. If must have been quite a treat to work with Mr. Bosworth. It's really great to know see the stories of members of the greatest generation being captured on film, and so beautifully at that.

Again, you did a really great job with these videos.

Cheers,

David

Fantastic job! One thing I always loved when I was out on the tour was coming into airports like that... the lack of crowds isn't that great for the bottom line, but seeing the airplanes come and go at a small rural airport approaches a moment of Zen for me. I especially love the rugged skies at sunset... that lends such drama to it!

Great job again! I'd be interested in knowing what kind of equipment you were using? Camera? Tripod? Thanks!

I shot this sequence for a short documentary on a tail gunner. You can see the doc. on my youtube site. We shot this in super 16mm film in Mcminnville, Oregon. Here is a pic of me filming 909 landing.

So, what'd it feel like when the tailwheel bopped ya? Didn't you hear it sneaking up on you? ;)

I just thought I would mention to those that don't know.......the McMinnville airport where this took place is right next to the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. Lots of neat stuff to see!!
