A P-40 pilots photo album from Africa went for $3,500 last week :!:

I do agree that if you need them, then you have to pay. Of course a photo album from a P-40 pilot in Africa is a goign to be a LOT more rare than these..................................

Glad I missed the photo album as I'm knee deep in Snap-on tools auction :shock: There is no such thing as buying only one P-51 photo.....

Oh, I don't know. 'Ole Jean's opening bids are fairly reasonable on the whole... especially when you consider how much many photos go for. I suppose it depends on the individual and the size of their wallet though.

That 85th FS album... I'm still grumbling about that one... guess I didn't want it bad enough... grrrrrr...

I have seen these photos during my daily search on epay, too.... nothing really spectacular and definitely not worth the price the seller asks for each photo....

when I find time (one fine day...!) I will scan my thousands of civil P-51 photos & slides....
