We made it to West Houston this afternoon! With the help of Ed Lindsay in the rear cockpit, and very nice weather. 3:50 min of flying time, fuel stop in Dalhart and Breckenridge. And a nice dinner with CAF guys.

If you would have been there at noon, you could have gone to Potter's with the rest of us today..

Fly Safe and "many landings" for you

Lynn, we went to Potters, it was about 2.15 pm! When I got back to the plane there was a note on the panel , "Fly Safe" from Gary Austin. He must have seen my landing, a few bounces. I made 3 landings, all were not too good with bounces. Ed didn't have any suggestions. He mostly sat in back and told me about all the neat electro-tecno GPS gadgets that I ought to put in the plane. He was great at flying and keeping track of our flight times and fuel use. I'll be out at W. Houston for the open house today, looks like a nice day.
Ed and I were hit by all the damage to the Hangars and houses at BKD. He took some photos and may post them.
We just missed Howard at W Hou, he was here getting some advice on all the new avionics in his Duke. Can you teach an old dog new tricks? How about an old Marine?

Yeah, I just put that note on there as a little "howdy" and to wish you a safe flight. I was heading back to MAF while y'all were out eating. I wasn't even going to mention the landing(s).

It was still nice to see you fly over, kind of like the old Airshow days..
If your straight line takes you back over the DFW area, remember that KLNC has $4.00 100LL....

Fly safe,

Lynn
