Glad everyone is ok. That really sucks, but the planes can be fixed.

Did you see in the video the twin (Piper?) blown into another hanger, but the '65/66 vette looked like it was untouched?! And the hangar that it looks like they were both inside of is now vanished. Wow.

I'm not sure that was a Vette- looked like a Gullwing Mercedes to me... Roof looked too short/squared for a Vette.

Glad it seems everyone survived... Sorry about the a/c...

The red one is most definitely a Vette ragtop, not a Mercedes.

Wild night here in Addison. I haven't been over to Cavanaugh today, but our hangar on the west side of the airport sustained no damage, so I can assume cavanaugh's didnt either.

OK- I only had the little view screen enlarged, so it was a little pixellated but I thought it was a Mercedes... A ragtop would explain the squareness I thought I saw...

I DO know I saw a MoPar (green Duster, if I remember correctly) along with what looked like a street rod in another hangar, but I don't recollect an aircraft in that one!

I'm glad to hear that no one was badly injured at the airport. The amount of damage is staggering. When we had our tornado/straight line wind at BVO a few years ago it only took out our hangar. Well wishes to everyone affected in Texas last night.

Robbie,

I used to share a hangar at Propwash with about ten cars--our plane looked out of place in there! It amazes me how many hangars around Tulsa are hot rod shops or storage for cars, trucks, boats, RVs etc.

CBS 11 just showed John Blackshears home, the remains of the trailer anyway.
His family was in it when it was destroyed, and he found them under the wreckage.
Bumps and Bruises only, thank goodness.

I phoned Howard last night. He and Carolyn and the Bearcat are not in BKD. Some near misses as John's house was destroyed with his family ok in the rubble. Nothing like a tornado to put the "mobile" in mobile home! They have even pulled up pavement off a highway. Eddie Holmes house also, no major injuries or deaths, but must have been a scary time for all. Some damage to lots of buildings, planes, the Staggerwing, Wildcat some wing damage. The roof may hve fallen on the Cub. Fury is ok, some tail damage to the P-38, he thought.
I was there a few years ago after the show when the sky got green dark, kind of purple and the wind began to blow in a circle. Not much place to hide there, and a lot of lethal looking tin roofs. I was watching Big John to see where he was going abnd try to getbelow that. That storm became a tornado, not at the airport, but killed a man 10 miles south.

Thanks for the update Bill. My thoughts & prayers are with all affected by this tragic event. I too am thankfull for no fatalities. My best wishes for a rapid recovery & rebuild are with them. That storm front is supposed to be in the Atlanta area tonight. We are rigging for heavy weather here.
Regards to all. :spit
