That's fantastic. I saw that airplane last summer when I was there. I'd love to see some pictures of her in the air if you've got any.

Awesome news! Why is Tillamook all of a sudden flying this airplane? Do you know what the plans are for it? Is it going to be flying on a regular basis? This seems strange given their history of NOT flying the vast majority of their aircraft. I'm not complaining, mind you, it's just odd!

Their pattern has been to fly a new a/c regularly for a while then park it.

Somewhere in WIX are pictures and some detail.. Basically I was doing the taxi tests,enging runs ect. We felt we had enough control to get the plane on the runway to try some longer taxi runs,NO flying... As the speed built to around 30mph the combined downforce of stick back and 15-20 headwind collapsed the tailwheel support structure... From there it was just hang on and start shutting things off... As the tailwheel started to fold sideways it took the plane places I had not planned on going...

how tall are you / what is your weight?? did you need a shoe horn to get in?? are the instruments original??
