Stephen Pitcairn passed away Saturday, March 29. He was the son of Harold F. Pitcairn - designer of the Pitcairn Mailwing and Autogiro series of aircraft. Stephen restored a handful of Pitcairn biplanes, as well as the PA-7 Mailwing and PCA-2 Autogiro on display at the EAA AirVenture Museum. A very nice guy, but extremely humble and quiet. He'll be missed...

Sad news.

Mr. Pitcarin was based out of Robbinsville Airport in NJ. When I was younger, I loved to stop at the airport to see his planes.

Regards,

Art S.
