It is a chemical added to the coolant or a type of coolant.
NAMBT possibly?

I believe "NaMBT" was a coolant additive that was developed specifically for the Merlin to counteract the dissimilar crossive effects that the Merlin had with the copper & light alloy aluminum parts used in construction of the engine. This is a common day problem that will haunt a Merlin that is not operated on a regular basis. Some guys use a over the counter product (Automotive) that just does not do the job.

There is a std stencil for the small panel that is open. The small round opening inside is where you add the coolant to the main coolant system.

I have the blue print for P-51D stencils hanging in our lobby. I am at home. I believe it states coolant spec and quantity.

On the panel not shown in the first shot, the only stencil I have seen on it reads:

Coolant
Filler
Filler Instructions Inside

This looks to be a bit different however.

Might index the aft spinner to the #1 prop blade.
Also there were marks on some spinners and prop blades to aid in sighting the gun camera. There was a mark on the center lower carb intake. Align with the mark on the spinner. One mark allows you to sight gun camera on a distant ground target. The other spinner mark aligns a prop blade. On the back of the prop blade was a series of range marks that could be used to sight the gun camera as well IIRC.
