Hellcat had the idea of sending Jack Cook to Chino, who declined because of other commitments. I started thinking...why not start a fundraiser for sending Scott? After all, he IS the one who makes this great forum possible (Thanks Scott!). I think I read previously that Scott wanted to go cover the event for WIX this year. Of course, we will expect a full write up and pictures!

So, Scott, if you're still interested in going, I'd be happy to get this party started by kicking in $100... is anyone else interested in helping him out?

-Pat

Oh he definately wants to go... I reserved a hotel room for the ol'boy yesterday. I need to have him to ride shotgun with me from Phoenix to Chino as I hear there are pirates on those sandy highways! :-D

If you want to contribute to "Chino or Bust for Scott", send it in at: http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/donate.html

But you all know, once he's out there... we may have a tough time getting him to leave, so make sure to lock up the T-Hangars and check under the T-6 project for him on Sunday night!

Ryan,

I will be glad to help with $100, too.

BUT, please PM a mailing address, since I do not use internet-based money transactions.

I will mail y'all a check as soon as I get the address.

Saludos,

Tulio

Tulio...pull up the above website and you'll find a usps address there.

I've got a confession to make. Back when Scott first mentioned going, I offered to buy him a plane ticket. Due to an unforseen $$$ crunch, I had to renege. I will jump in here for $100 though.
It's on it's way.

Mudge the welcher

and Mudge, don't beat yourself up over it, manure happens.

Thanks again guys, I appreciate all your support.

Thank you, señor Mudge : )

Got the address, and as soon as I finish typing this message, I will write the check, stamp the envelope, and tomorrow before going to work, I will drop the envelope at the post office.

Saludos, and BUEN VIAJE, Scott.

I suppose that once he gets to Chino we'll have to take up a collection to send him back... Everyone's gonna get tired here of mopping up the drool!

I just sent in my $100 to get him to Chino. I'll kick in $20 for part of a Greyhound ticket to get him back, heck, he can ride with us.........

Scott...lemme say this one time only. This effort is a small measure of the thanks we owe you for the unbelievable amount of work you do to keep this site running and (mostly) happy.

"And that's all I'm gonna' say 'bout that." (With apologies to Forrest Gump.)

There will HAVE to be a WIX dinner on Saturday. And I don't mean "In 'n Out" Burger, either. :drink3:

I am really looking forward to this get together.

Mudge the friendly :D
