P-61 deck cargo just offloaded at Liverpool Docks being towed to Speke Airport for assembly by Lockheed Overseas Corp. Overhead Docks Railway in background now long gone.

I would guess from shadows that it was April or May 44. Also note at least one P-47 above the right engine of the P-61. Either parked or being towed backwards further down the convoy. Certainly a cool shot and I think about it every time I drive down that street!

Wow !

That last one really shows how bulky the P-47 (sorry for the typo) airframe is compared to the truck :shock:
