Love it howe you guys spend more time beating the horses or anyone who posts information that wipes your fav topics off the main pages - for fun than discussing warbird and history.. you all need to a bex and lie down!!!

Sure says it when your so anal focus on topics - that you ALL forgot the point of warbirds is...

So what if i post not perfect and upper crust english eh..., id love to see you try when you have disabilities which effect your life etc and post perfectly and la la. And to win points bashing people over mere sharing of information is bizzare.

Basically your all abusers of people with disabilities and enjoy it which to me shows how sick you people are.

Some people in warbird land get to fly, some get to clean the museum floors, some just get to watch and read and some if lucky get to help out and do minor tasks. If your outside this arena well it a shame. Not everyone controbutes and so what, what matters is that they try.

No one knows that you have a disability, what do you have?

I don't see what the difference is between what he posts and what Jack Cook posts.

Perhaps you might look a bit harder?

Jack's stuff is from his own collection.

He posts the photo, not a link, and gives the correct details of the airman in the photo.

He knows what he's posting about, generally, and answers questions to the best of his ability and experience.

When corrected or disputed, he's polite, and accepts he might be wrong.

He's happy to help and will provide details from his collection for anyone requesting that.

He also fails to act like a cross between HAL and a web-spiderbot.

Apart from that, identical. ;)

I'm not interested in HG... and I don't look over all of Jack's posts, but most of Jacks are of interest, and while I'm not Jack's friend, I think it worth pointing out the difference between him and whatsisname.

Right, I understand that Jack is a very knowledgeable person about what he posts. I appreciate that he answers questions. I appreciate that he's polite (probably one of the most polite people here).

What I'm referring to when I was talking about not seeing the difference is the sheer volume of threads that they both start.

Why don't we start a stickied thread at the top called "Jacks Darkroom" or "Sergeant Schultz's Photo Hut". For quite a while I've been bugged by how many threads Jack starts. Not because of the content, but because of the way he posts But I didn't go into everyone of his threads telling him to stop. I didn't start threads complaining about him. I just looked at the author, and if it's Jack Cook and and it doesn't sound interesting to me, I'll just ignore it. I don't care. I don't want him to stop (honestly Jack, don't stop-a-postin), because sometimes there are things that do interest me.

HGUCSU,

As I have said in some other replies to you, (which you either seem to ignore or not read at all?) you are copping some unfair treatment.

However in addition to those insults by some people, you are simply being asked by many others, including myself, to modify your posting style to make it more user friendly.

if you review and consider the constructive comments you are receiving and apply some of the suggestions, I suspect many of the insults etc will stop as well.

regards

Mark Pilkington

I was wondering when the disability card might be played.

No disability excuses refusing to play nicely.

If you want to be cut some slack, be upfront about it. If you want to be treated equally, act properly, and treat other posters politely.

The people I work with who deal with their disabilities on a daily basis would find your behaviour poor, to put it mildly. Don't use an excuse for being unwilling to listen and follow basic requests and instruction, and don't start playing hard done by now.

Take the criticism on the chin, do as Scott wants with the Base Theater, post on warbirds, and be polite. You'll be welcome. Carry on as you are, you'll get banned. The choice is yours and is utterly unaffected by any disability.

Regards,

Jack Cook posts around 10 photos+ a day at times ive seen.

So exactly why arent people gettting to have his own sticky for photos???.

That all he does basuically is photos and they take up the whole screen at times. So everyone topics are shoved off the main page.

Alot of Jacks stuff is "repeats" every few weeks or months and i bet many either dont know or care to say that.

So you know -

Hearing loss
Severe tintitus
Vision issues
Bones issues
Knee problems
and more

Maybe if you have as much pain as i do you might get some idea why I DONT caree on my typing when im dealing with my problems

There is a huge difference between posting "upper crust English" and posting "readable English". I'm talking about the latter. You may not think that communication is very important, but it really is. Since people can not communicate with you in person, everybody will judge you based off of your written communication abilities. Nobody writes perfect, including myself, but the better you can communicate, the more respect people will give you. Of course, the other half of the equation is content. You seem to have problems with both, unfortunately.

If you read my posts I've not challenged your English. It's your attitude, rudeness and refusal to modify your behaviour that's at issue, as far as I'm concerned. You are clearly desperate for attention. You can get that here by trying to be a member of the community. Lots of posters don't have great English, but their attitude is great. Yours isn't.

You don't have any idea what issues I deal and have delt with. Suffice it to say that disability does not excuse your attitude, and no-one is really bothered about your English. But you aren't prepared to change.

Disabled or not (and I've an open mind about that) either shape up, ship out or get shipped out. Trying to discredit other posters won't help you. Don't bother calling me names, I've heard it all. I'm not interested, unless you aim to play nicely, when you'll get my support.

That's it.

You think im after attention.....? why would i come here for attention?

We ALL come here to seek information.

You come here to seek information for your magazine and books you write.

I come here to seek tidbits of history.

Other come here to see stuff they cant see in person.

Thats why we all come here for the attention.

I suspect your attitude is wrong and needs a reassessment.

I think Scott needs to change the theme of this forum to " soap opera 's are us "

You can not compare Jack Cook's images to the crap HGUCSU post's here.

My 2 cents
