These are of NA-16

Differences to eventual production wirra were the fixed u/c and two bladed prop (instead of 3) nice to see the birdcage on gunners hood too! :D

Nice to see. This was the North American Aviation built NA-16 aircraft, one of two, the other with retractable gear / undercarriage. Note also the different windscreen to the CAC production Wirraways.

Off the cuff, I don't recognise them from he CAC archives, presumably private photos rather than private prints.

Very much unpublished and private photos. From what I can see in this photo album he went to Canada and the US and must have been involved somehow with CAC/DAP as there are photos in this album of THE RAAF Hurricane, the first aussie Beaufort, The wirra, Ansons etc :D

Unfortunately there are no captions on these and his photo album is mixed all over the place...some photos pasted almost over others.
