I expect to come to Sun N Fun. By then I am sure I will need some sun, what we have here now is near record snow. I am not sure if I will fly my plane down or ride the airlines. Sun N Fun does not pay an appearance fee, and with the recession coming and $100 per barrel oil here, I suspect fly in warbirds may well be down some.

I'll be there for the whole week, but I'll be working........

Have you decided whether or not you're bringing the Spit, Bill?

I'm going. :) Not sure yet, if it will be Friday or on Saturday.

I'll be there in the RV-6... Weather pending, of course.

As of now, Fri am 4-21, there is at least one room vacanc for Sun N Fun at the Clarion in Winter Haven, 20 miles east of Lakeland. Phone 863 294-4451. I will be at the other one in WH. Nice airport if you fly in there.

Are there any plans on meeting up?

I will be headed down for the hole week, volunteering a few of the days with ride sales for the Dixie Wing of the C.A.F. It is my understanding that the wing will be setting up camp on the north side of the pond in the campground with two or three R.V.'s and a big circus tent on the flight line.(just ask for Big Steve from the Dixie Wing)

Last year a friend had a laptop so I may have internet access again this year at the show.

I should be in Lakeland early and on some of the off time I would like to get over to Warbird Adventures and Fantasy of Flight. If any one has any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Steve

Bill, you ought to go now before the fuel becomes so expensive you can't afford to. With the coming recession and all you may have to sell your Spitfire to one of us Californians just to afford fuel oil to heat your condo in Aspen next winter.

Steve, some fun rides, the Stearman or other classic at Fantasy, nice soda shoppe burger there also. J3 Cub on floats at Winter Haven. T-6 at Warbird Adventures at Kissiimee, good, if a bit expensive. Ultralight rentals at the airport 10 south of Lakeland. If you get there early in the morn, you can often find a ride with an ultralight right there at Sun N Fun at the se end.

I, personally, won't be there, but the C-54 and some other crew will surely be.
