Like mentioned in the Canso thread, Andrew Bryant made it to the Nanaimo Airport to snap some pictures of the Canso, but he also ducked into the terminal building and got a couple pictures of a very interesting display about Raymond Collishaw.
Air Vice Marshall Raymond Collishaw (CB DSO and Bar OBE DSC DFC RAF) was the highest scoring ace in the Royal Naval Air Service and the second highest scoring Canadian Ace of WWI. He had 60 air victories. As a member of the RAF during WWII he commanded No. 204 Group (which later became the Desert Air Force) in North Africa.
Born and Raised in Nanaimo, BC he is well remembered and commemorated with this display in the Nanaimo Airport Terminal.
