I recall getting those a while back via email with the birdstrike story - it appeared to me to have been a mid-air - no feathers, guts, blood, anything - relatively clean "cut" through roof, etc....

Didn't see the event, but did watch a Cheyenne III land at Denver Int'l after an incident with a Deer on short final at Aspen. The pilot did a great job of going around without touching down and flying single engine to Denver before landing with full services because of uncertainty of the structural integrity of the landing gear. The #2 prop was nothing more than strings as they're composite blades. Pretty gross "splattering" on the fuselage, leading edge, and landing gear. Thankfully it all cleaned off fairly easily with a garden hose.

CAPflyer, last winter at Lone Star marshaller training they showed us some slides of various aircraft-and..... collisions and one was of a twin turboprop that pureed a deer. GROSS! The deer was head and neck and one rear quarter. The rest was fuselage chili.
My dad told me of a goose strike by a twin Beech when he was in Navy Air reserves, late 40's. Seems one of his friends nailed a migrating goose in the six with the windshield. The pilots had just enough time to react and duck before the offending bird came rump first into the cockpit.
My ex wife was a USAF kid who grew up mostly in the UK. Her dad was stationed at a fighter base with a sparrow problem that used falcons to clear the runways. She always thought the falcons were cool to watch, but to her discredit she hated anything else that had to do with airplanes.
