On R-1340 engines: install this into the forward drain sump along with an appropriate cowl access hole (if desired). For the R-985-B5 users, install the new plug in the aft sump drain location. R-680 users will replace the Lycoming P/N 155-B sump connection with manifold assembly.
By draining the sump it helps in avoiding hydraulic lock of the lower cylinders and the oil can be put back in the tank, there by saving on oil costs. Oil container not included.
