I am proud to announce that I have hired Mike Rawson (AKA HELLDIVER on WIX) to head the maintenance operations for my warbird collection. Mike will be moving to Saint Louis starting next monday. I interviewed several highly qualified IA/AP candidates, and Mike's attitude and experience stood out among the applicants.

Once Mike gets situated, I will be adding airplanes to the collection. No types named now, but I will be posting as additions are made.

I am very happy that the proper choice turned out to be a WIXer. Thanks to all that reccomended people for me to interview.

P.S. For those naysayers that PMed me to tell me how you "knew" this couldn't pay what I said it would or have the benefits that I had outlined, NEVER SAY NEVER.

That's awesome news. Mike seems like a stand up guy. If I was an A&P I would have been all over the chance.

Great news for both Eric and Mike!

But whatever will Mike do without a regular supply of lutefisk or lefsa? :o

Does that mean that HELLDIVERS has to pack up and move his TBM again?

Pretty cool! A superbly talented money-manager/eclectic collector hooks-up with a supreme technician/artiste! :D

That's awesome Eric!

Congratulations, Mike!

Now Eric, are you going to buy Mike's other Helldiver project and have him restore it to flying condition for you? Just think what an airshow act you could have - a Helldiver and a Skyraider in formation, along with Mike's own TBM once he gets that done. You could have a perfect tri-fecta of Naval bombers. I would think that would generate a lot of interest at airshows!

I would love to see another Helldiver flying......hint....hint....hint.....!!! :D :D

When I read the title of this post, I thought A Helldiver was going to St. Louis...not THE HELLDIVER!

Congrats to the both of you.

Eric,

I have known Mike for about 15 years and he has become a good friend. I am going to miss him. He has been a great source of information and support. I wish you both the best.

Of all of the things you may have to worry about at CFM, me "catching up" is probably not one of them
