Hey, I'm Jonas (AKA: PbyCat-Guy). As you can tell my favorite warbird is the PBY Catalina. I'm also in the British mobiles; Hurricane, Spitfire, and especialy the Mosquito. My grand dad was a B-17 and a B-24 pilot durring the war, then flew DC-10s for Continental. His brother was a B-29 Navigator (497th bomb group). My dad is a commercial pilot, having flown the 727, Emraer 135/145 for Continental, and the MD-11 for a Cargo company, and soon maybe flying 737s in Russia. I'm currently working on my Commercial/Instrument, and hope to be done in a few months. I eat, sleep, S**T, dream, and am always thinking about warbirds. I hope eventualy to get my A&P and maybe, if I can, get involved in some restoration, and fly warbirs. PBYs, Hurricane, and loads of others. Hoping to fly for a cargo company flying international one day. Hoping to get a job this summer with a Part 135 outfit, or flight instruct. I'm an artist, (currently working on a watercolor Hawker Hurricane picture), model builder, and a college student; double major in Aeronautical Science and Biology. I'm looking forward to chating it up with fellow warbird enthusiasts. Blah, Blah, Blah.....

Welcome to the asylum.
It's good to see another flying boat fan.
We're probably even more archaic and esoteric than most of the rest of the inmates - uhh, members are.

Ditto on the welcome, Jonas.

You've fallen in with bad company, but it's too late to back out now. Most of the pig boat guys sit together in the back. Grab a stool and pass the pretzels. :partyman:

welcome aboard sir! You are most warmly greeted because there seems to be a distinct lack of boat people here, we look forward to your contributions
