Good Day!

Come April there will be a C-47B-15-DK stationed at Camarillo Airport and a full support team of mechanics and support is needed. If you are interested in volunteering, please email me or PM ME HERE ONLINE.

Aside from our C-47 we do have an active flying B-25J which always needs just one more person to help out on things.

talk soon
dave

Very cool, Dave! Are you going to keep it next to Executive Sweet? Probably more room now with the 404 gone from the CAF ramp.

Great to know more warbirds are coming to Camarillo! VG, you mention the 404... was that Whitesell's 404? If so, where did it go?

Yes, Whitesell's 404. From what I have been told, it got sold to the POF and will be ferried to Valle, Arizona, if it isn't already gone.

To all that are interested, the tail number will remain secured until the last few papers are signed to ensure nothing happens during the closing of this sale.

Once the aircraft has the motors run and we are about to taxi out for our flight to camarillo, we will have an individual post photos, information and dates while we are in flight for the ferry flight to Camarillo!!!

This is to help ensure that are purchase remains secure and unchanged.

Thanks for your understanding!

Proud to annouce, as of 22 Feb 08, the American Aeronautical Foundation now owns 43-49531, C-47B-15-DK!

We have accepted the offer and paid for her, the checks in the mail!

She has a background serving with the 15th AF and 12th AF in Italy from 12/44 to 9/45. Servingin operations such as Varisty and the C-47 troop train bringing the Italian front soldiers home to the stats in late 45. We have her original WWII records card and service records as requested from the Smithsonian.

All interested individuals need to contact me at thegreensonline@gmail.com to sign to be part of the flihtcrew, maintenance or just a helping hand or ride days or airshows.

The groups intent is to sale rides on it to help support the foundation and the rest of our aircraft.
I will post a link to a slideshow full of photos tomorrow when i land in California.

Till then-
Dave

Ruud, perhaps off topic, but where did the Palm Springs Air Museum S/N 32755 N60154 come from? It is also in Israeli markings.
