It not exactly "in a bar"; It more like its outside with a bar built under it. I heard there was some timelimit or AD that came up that turned it into a large aluminum awning....................

Its at Universal Studios in Orlando. The tables were decorated with pictures of it and there was a map of its travels. Pictures from Spring 2007

Supposedly there are still visible bullet holes in the airframe from the time Jimmy landed the Albatross in the sea in Jamaica and the local cops mistook him for a smuggler and opened fire with their handguns... you know how it goes: shoot first and ask questions later. He hightailed it outta there and never went back!

Cheers!

There is a life limit on the long wing HU-16, not sure about the short wing version though. Now I heard through grape vine that the reason he parked it was the the insurance on it was just way too high. That and I imagine getting flight permits and av-gas in some of the places he went was a bit of a pain. I was sad to her parked like that, and he did go back to Jamica, he even wrote a song about it.

Flies the Caravan regularly!

Do they let him in the left seat of the 900?

I don't know if they "let" him in the left seat, but when he was in Denver in 2004, he had a pilot flying the plane with him in the right seat (at least when they taxied in he was in the right seat).

Rumor is the 900 is gone and he bought a 2000EX. The last time I met him was when he flew into Carlsbad, CA (CRQ) he still had a Falcon 50 then. He was not flying on that trip, walked down the steps with a glass of wine in hand. Real nice guy

He was very friendly, Just one of the guys,he let you jump inside the airplane ask you if you want a beer, let you pick his guitar. He would chase you around the ramp when you trying to park him laughing at you.I remember one day it was really windy and they were getting out of there aircraft to get into there car when his wifes little sundress dress decided to go up around her neck, never seen a bunch of lineman's sweat socks go up and down, very funny.

A few years back we had the two Tequila making music mens airplanes nose to nose on our ramp. I should have gone and gotten my camera.
