Well, I've now got both wings, top and bottom, ready for paint. It's just a matter of waiting for the paint to get here (I hope it's soon) and after some final pre-paint prep, they'll be red.

That was a great story. It did an outstanding job of hilighting the most important, but rarely mentioned reason most of us fly - THE DREAM.
Some folks dream of going fast and turning left, some dream of morning dew on a grass airstrip, and others dream of playing tag with a puffy cloud.
My hat is off to a guy who lives his dream...

Well and good that you DID post it. Gotta love it when someone goes after a dream....and realizes it!
(But they left the "petting zoo" out when they mentioned the dogs!)

This was a very fast and winning airplane back then -- as in 240 mph in a 3 mile oval with an O-200!

And a couple from Reno 1985 -- her first Gold Race Championship...

Excellent photos, Neal! Thanks for posting!!! I will gladly pay you for any copies that you may have, if you'll send them to me. Also, do you have any pictures of the cockpit of the airplane?

Here's a question--notice the elevator deflection in Neal's in-flight photo? I'm curious as to how the flight controls are set up. Thanks for the answer in advance. Great pictures!
