So then I take it that Mr. Sutherland is the new owner of said TBM?

If so, any word on if he's going to hit the circuit with it?

Sad to see it go. I've always liked that airplane. I even got to fly in it once with Bud at the stick. Hopefully it gets a good home and a good restoration (with a turret).

Turret!!!!

This aircraft is supposedly a WWII combat vet, though I don't have specifics available right now and I have never been able to verify the rumors.

At the very least I would like to see it restored back to its most historically significant condition. How's that.
:D

I think they are referring to the fact that "CTU" is painted on the vertical, rather than Kiefer buying the airplane.

He thought about buying it, but THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH TIME!!! That, and it wouldn't fit in his shoulder sack that he takes with him everywhere. :)

Ahh. Well, Mr. Sutherland has a pilot's license and I've heard he run with several of the other H-wood star/pilot types, so it wouldn't be too long of a stretch. ;)

Well considering he is still in jail right now, I don't think he'll be doing any flying.

Sutherland also owns a recording studio and record label, called Ironworks.

Sutherland began his jail term sentence as of December 6, 2007 [15] and was released from the Glendale, California prison just after Midnight on January 21, 2008.[16]

The aircraft is still listed on the Courtesy Aircraft website. Only $195,000. I'm surprised no one has snapped it up yet.
