..the finish on my TBM is like egg shell with upper wing and tailplane semigloss per the US Navy official orders of the day...

It has been painted like that now for over ten years and looks great. Australia has very high UV [and skin cancer] but the paint holds up if the aircraft is normally hangared.. :roo:

Neither of our paint schemes follow the tri-colored blue hues of the provided template. Can you provide further documentation of its authenticity and which groups followed it? What about interior of wheel wells and exposed wing structure when folded?

Still looking for good leak finding tips. Will be swinging gear tomorrow, then marching firewall foreward.

Those are the correct colours. In reality they come out like my aircraft/
remember the printed or computer colours are generally not quite the match however the paint FS numbers are correct and your paint supplier can confirm this for you.

Duncan - however it comes out I look forward to seeing you guys in Wendover this year - in talking with Bob it sounds like that with no Hill AFB Show we might make your schedule!!

I am looking forward to it - you guys treat us so nicely. With any luck, we won't need any kitty litter for oil drips, and you will find a new paint job. I suspect Matt will be bringing their new Beech 18 which will leave the TBM's front seat open for myself or Bob. I want to watch that empty KC do anoth max performance takeoff again too!
