.45 Auto might have been a little light. Would've been better if he'd borrowed someone's 1903 or M1. Talk about your lead contamination !

My friend Cy Gladen told me once he and some buddies tried fishing in the Tenavatu River on Guadalcanal. They threw a couple grenades in the waters but all that came up were corpes :? No fish fry that night :!:

I had two uncles in the CBI, one of whom flew C-54s over the hump. My parents have a photo of them somewhere in Burma, going tiger hunting with Thompson SMGs! I doubt they bagged one, as I would have heard all about it as a kid.
