Amazing footage.Thanks for posting. Noticed how quickly the crew got out of the first one. Amazing to think how very young the crews of these aircraft were as well.

The footage in the first post is taken from Doc Furniss War which is a tape full of colour and B&W home movies shot at Podington and elsewhere by the base Doctor. It's well worth watching it you can get hold of a copy.
Digger, you don't know the circumstances of the landing so is it really prudent to comment in that style?

Know I'm a fighter type guy, but that looked pretty amazing to me. I thought it was pretty "in control".
