I'm sorry I've disappeared, guys. I've been on the road a lot, and returned to find taht my internet had been turned off by a vindicitive meanie wife. (Actually she thought I would be moved out long befor enow but my travel made me run late in getting packed out)

I therefore bought a wireless USB plug for my computer, and am stealing a neighbor's internet in order to type this. I'll be out again for a week, then on station in Boulder Co. for a month or more, where, since I am working at a tech site, I will have no problems screaming and waving my hands and biting my toenails in agony as Broken Wench laughs at my candidates

Thanks, Hellcat! This hit me very hard (obviously) but I have been shocked at just how decent people are. I've had old service buddies and just plain old pals from around the world calling me and offering me a place to hover until I can put myself together again. You guys are the best!
I'll probably be back through LA in six months time--before I hea dthis way I will be stopping off at Camarillo so I can snap some shots of the birds out there. I bought a tiny cheap little digital camera recently, which sort of shocked my family--After my last tour in Yugoslavia I swore I'd never take another picture! My poor dog is crosseyed from all the flashes going off in her little face!
