strike these from the list (found 'em cheap):

-Storch
-Avenger (wings folded)
-Bell 47 helicopter

looks like its down to the more esoteric (read more expensive) types now...

cheers

Greg, I have a C-46 and the Stearman.
Most of the other unclaimed A/C either A - rare, B - resin or C nonexistant.
Meaning you'll have to use a substitute of roughly the same size.

hello Bill

great! I will update the list.

I agree, the remaining ones are going to be a little harder to come up with, although I did see an Italeri AN-2 in the LHS, as well as a limited release Ryan PT-22, but it will be a while before I part with $30 for something the size of a big cockroach...

I researched the C-131 Samaritan / Convair 340, and it has been made by a company in the past (long out of production) and is on the "upcoming release" list for another, but either way it would be both expensive and tough to build. If no-one comes up with anything I may take a stab at making a rough replica of one out of a Heller DC-6 or something.

thanks!

Greg V.

Greg, I found a Cessna T-50 too, so you can knock that one off as well.
(I think I have a PT-22 out there somewhere, I'll look later)
I found a B-17/24/29 and quite a few others if anyone is having second thoughts about finding/buying the kit or the time to finish in a timely manner.

Cool !
I'm not trying to run anyone off, just filling the holes where needed.
A sad fact is that life gets in the way of modeling and if that happens then I might be able to fill the need.
Remember, these should be slam builds, so for anyone building tricycle geared airplanes, don't put any weight in the nose. Use a small sturdy stand under the fuselage.

BTW, Greg, I found the PT-22 and BT-13 but no Fw 44 - yet.

it's been fun just throwing these kits together like when i was a kid. they may not look pretty (at least mine don't :P ) but they're strong as heck!

Mr. Widgeon

great, I've got you down for the PT-22 and BT-13 as well, thanks!

Nathan, if you go to the first page of this thread there is a list of what is needed, showing who is building what and what is left. Check it out and see if there is anything that catches your eye.

Spookythecat, I hear you, I haven't spent this many hours modeling since I was a kid; sure beats watching the tube. Then again, if I can get a small tv for the den then I can do both at the same time....

cheers all

I busted out the model kits, and started my projects.

Just so you know, a WIX lurker has contacted me to let me know he found an L-17 Navion and will be building it for the project.

Cheers
