And as we're talking cars, one car that I would kill for, is the new Ford GT (that noise you can hear, is Tony drooling). Apparently only 28 will reach the UK and my names' not on the list so I guess that I'll just have to make do with an original GT40.

(Sorry darling, whats that you said) oh, the wife says I can't have one of those either :)

As I understand things, great in a straight line but a bugger to get round corners.

Although I don't speak with any experience!

That's true with some of the older American muscle cars, but the technology changed dramatically with the introduction of the 'Generation 4' Corvettes. Chevrolet engineered and introduced the C4 Vette to represent the cutting edge of their engineering abilities at that time.

These cars in stock condition are pretty tight in the corners. This one has the factory independent suspension, as well as the Z51 factory performance suspension upgrades (sway bars, etc), Del-A-Lum control arm bushings, reengineered control arms and custom brackets, Koni adjustable shocks, forward shock tower brace, as well as the 18x12 & 18x10 wheels with 335 series tires. All of that plus the overall lowering of the car to increase lateral stability adds up to a scarily stable "corner carver". I wouldn't hesitate to run the corners against any other real world driver I might encounter. The only thing left to do suspension wise is to install an aftermarket adjustable coil-over kit so I can fine tune each corner of the car indepenently for varying track and road conditions.
