The Last Air to Air Kill from a Prop Fighter to another

Greetings
I was wondering dose any body know when the last offical Air to Air kill from a prop Fighter or Attack plane occured ? what nations were invould ? Also I am not trying to stir up any thing with anybody ................... just wanting to learn more on the matter.

I'm guessing here... wasn't it Mustang vs. Corsair during the 1969 "Soccer War" in El Salvador?

17 July 1969...but it was the other way around. The Honduran Corsair, piloted by Captain Fernando Soto Henriquez, shot down the Salvadorian Cavalier Mustang II.

My former neighbor Alex Currie downed a YAK-3 over Pyongyang, NK on Jan. 3, 1951 flying a F-51D. Only prop kill for the 39th FIS in Korea and one of the last prop kills for the USAF

I have his uniform, scarf, gun camera film and photos.

So.........................it was between American Built Aircraft interesting indeed . A friend tried to tell me that it was between a Yak-9 and a Spitfire somewhere in Africa He is just a little to wound up on Rock Star drinks ! :shock:

she used to ride around on his tractor with him and hang out in his house. You really know how someone feels about you when they leave you some treasures after they're gone!! He was shot down over New guinea and walked out after 30 days!! His quote was "you can out run a Crocodille if properly motivated" :shock:

I don't know the date, but sometime in the 50's or 60's Spitfire XVIIIs (Isreali?) shot down other Spits flown, I think by Egyptians.

I really prefer the last piston Powered victory over a Jet fighter...

This was the June 20, 1965 downing of a Mig 17 by one of the greatest fighters ever built....

As Randy has already stated, it was in July 1969, during the "100 Hour War" [not the Soccer War, please!!] when an Honduran AF F4U-5N piloted by then Major Fernando Soto Henriquez, shot down three Salvadorean AF aircraft.

That is, officially and during a conflict between two nations.

Prop-driven aircraft have been and continue to be, shot down in some South and Central American countries when AF aircraft try to force drug smuggling prop-driven aircraft to land, and when the pilots of these aircraft do not comply, they are shot down.

EMBRAER Tucanos have shot down several aircraft in this way, over Peru, Colombia, and Honduras, AFAIK.

Yeah, They shot down a Cessna 172 a few years back.

But does anyone know when the last "All Guns" aerial victory was and what it was?

Well, the A-10 "chopper popper" gunned an Iraqi helo during Desert Storm...but that probably doesn't fit the criteria here.

The most recent guns kill I know of off hand is a Syrian Sukhoi Fitter gunned by an Israeli F-16 in the Bekaa Valley in June '82.

I've always heard that there were several guns kills in the Falklands war in the same time period ('82), but I don't recall the specifics without digging into my library.

I seem to remember hearing that an Argentian Pucara was downed by a British Harrier using cannons during the Falklands War. I dunno the date though...

Pucara A-511 was shot down by cannon fire, by Harrier XZ451 (801 Sqdn) flown by Cdr. Nigel Ward, on 21 May 82. Pilot, Major Tomba, managed to safely eject.

IIRC, there was a Wasp (or was it a Scout) helicopter, shot down by cannon fire, by a Pucara.
