So recently i have been doing some of my own research on NH crash sites. But as i was looking for some info i came across a article about the history of Manchester airport. It said that there were numerous crashes in the town of Epsom NH with B-24's does anyone know or gone out to see if this is true? There was one crash stating about a B-24 crashing on Washtub Hill in Epsom, but i have not found any info supporting this.

And on a second note im researching about a crash of either a hellcat or wildcat crash in Lake Winnepaskee in the NH lakes region. Has anyone ever heard of this before? I was at a museum in Wolfboro about 10 years ago and there was part of an aircraft from the crash. I contacted the head advisor there and he said it "doesn't ring any bells" so right now im at a loss.

Just a word of advice, when are you inquiring about a older crash, please place that in the heading. When you post something like B-24 crash or P-51 crash, we think that one of our friends might have gone down.

According to the Colonel, The B-24(H-model s/n 42-5111) and all of the crash sites in the Manchester/Grenier Field area were cleaned up years ago. As far as the Winnepasakee crashes, no military aircraft were ever recorded as going into the lake. If you want to check out a B-24 Crash-site, there is one about 6mi NW of Berlin, NH. EB-24M s/n 44-51228. B-24L S/n 44-49933 is 12mi of the coast on NH, if you want a real challenge!! The Wolfboro museum had parts of a B-52 that crashed at Pease and was deamed unrepairable.

What is left at this crash site? Anything worth viewing?
