Hey Gary,

Great pictures and good to see another Harpoon out there "living the dream!"

Where is Dave's plane based now and what are his plans to get her back to mil config? Turrets? Thanks!

Ryan
One of the captions of the photos on the link stated that the plan is to give her a turret and Navigation Dome also. So is there a bomb bay on the aircraft still?

I totally agree it is great to see another Harpoon around. I wish there were more flying around.

Ryan,
Dave's PV is based at the Heber City Airport, at his facility there..he doesen't have a hanger there it will fit in, so I don't know if it will stay there after he is finished working on her...
The last Dave told me is that he was ready to install the flooring in the fuselage...so I am assuming that the spray tank has been removed from her.
He will be installing the turrets..both upper Martin 250, and the tunnel gun turrets as well....I have never seen the lower turret on any PV-2's, even the one's in the museums.

Tim,
Yes there is a bombbay on his PV....Due to the nature of it's past employment, they have been butchered up....The doors are there, I haven't examined them close up, but I can imagine that there will be some corrosion or some type of damage from the chemicals it carried, or from the field mods that were made.
From looking at the restorations Dave has done on his site, I think he will do an outstanding job on the PV's doors.

Hi Scott,

The Utah Wing of the CAF posted the linked video in March.

Their website suggests that perhaps they are the Harpoon's current custodians. At the very least, it appears she's being looked after.
