Lewis Warbird Collection

So what warbirds are exactly in his collection? I know he has quite a few. :D

P-51 "La Pistelara", P-38 "Glacier Girl", Corsair, F8F, and "Rare Bear" He also has an L-39 for the jet types. I think he has a few more but am not certain so won't speculate.

Also the P-47 from Tillamook! By the way, is that P-47 paint scheme from the Pacific theatre?

I believe he also mentioned a Grumman (not GM) F4F Wildcat when I briefly talked to him at Reno...

I believe he bought Steve Craig's F4F-3. Isn't he also getting a Spitfire?

I heard those two also Kalamazoo Kid and a B-25, but haven't laid eyes on them so didn't want to speculate; but what neat stuff.

For that read 'Comfort, Texas'?

The Spitfire is the recently completed Mk V BL628 from the Antipodes.

Who does one contact in regards to airshow bookings of the P-40 or Glacier Girl for the Lewis collection? I am attempting to track down the flyable P-40s in the US for the Gathering of P-40's in Geneseo, NY this summer and I missed his P-40.

PM or email me, anyone?

Peter - Comfort isn't quite like Ober describes. Now Cotulla on the other hand...

Ryan - From what I understand, his P-40 is the B model under restoration in New Zealand and formerly listed on the Provenance site. I'm not sure of her current status, but I do know she is NOT flying yet.

I didn't know about the Ryan. Thats one that is on my short list when I win the lottery for sure.
