Warbird Information Exchange

I just took a look on Courtesy Aircraft's website and saw that, in the last week, an A-4 has popped up SOLD. States last flown in 1992...anyone know where this bird is headed, and if it will be a flyer any time soon?

HOLY COW!! I don't look for a few days and look at what shows up!! BTW - it says "pending"

So Rick, whatdo you know about this bird? I was underthe impression that your A-4 was the only one in the Country in flying shape (granted this bird might take some work).

This aircraft is the EAA A-4B that was donated in 1990 or there abouts by Jim Robinson of combat Jets, hence the CJ registration. EAA is slowly selling off the jet collection that was donated.

Hasn't flown since 1992.

Mark Clark actually listed it this morning. Somebody wants a Skyhawk really bad !

the scooter is my second most lusted after AC...only thing better would be a J model 2 seater.....now if I can just rustle up 200K quickly

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

You won't get a J for 200K, and the F is more fun. 800 lbs more thrust.

Has anyone heard who bought this B model ?

I noticed that the Hunter is down to 30k is there a problem with it???

We must limit politicians to two terms:
one in office and one in jail.

I hope that the EAA keeps a few of the jets for the museum, but it is nice to see some of these returning to the air.

Combat Jets made the single largest donation ever made to the EAA in or about 1992. Since then the EAA has sold, the F-104, F-86, T-33, A-4, DeHavilland Vampire and the Hawker Hunter is for sale. Not sure about the Mig 21 and Mig 15. Looks like there isn't much left of the original donation. But, as you say, they are being returned to flight status.
