Okay, enough is enough.

I reinstated Bill for several reasons, one of which is that when I put this up to a vote the community voted it. I would not have put it up for a vote if Randy had not let the comment slide. I also received an e-mail from Bill explaining his intentions in the posting and while his execution left something to be desired his I believed his intent was not malicious.

I have received some nasty PM's over this and you have no idea how furious I am right now. I do the best that I can and work 20+ hours a week on this site for over 12 years, and thats over and above the 50+ hours a week I spend at full time job. What little money is generated by these sites is funneled back into them. I appreciate those that have donated. It does help, but it is a rare thing. I do this because I love the subject matter and I love the community here. Unfortunately a handful of children can't seem to play with each other and have made even logging into WIX a cringing affair for me. We'll thats over. the rules are guide lines to encourage social behavior, I will interpret them in the best way I can to make it fair for all. So here's how it is, use the rules to guide you, if you break them I will issue one warning and one warning only. Ignore that and you are gone for good. No suspensions, no polls, just gone.

And to those who sent the nasty and offensive emails, and you know who you are... If you don't like it here, why are you here?

Fair comment! Teacher has spoken. I will not chew gum.

Thanks again for navigating the stormy waters successfully for us Scott.

Thanks, Scott, for all that you do.

I can definitely live with the one warning rule. It gives folks room for a simple retarded moment, while the chronic baiters and bashers will eventually get weeded out. As for your workload, well, it really is appreciated. All I ever asked for was the chance to log on without being bashed myself. Your new rule will certainly achieve that.

Kind of rude to refer to Muddy Boots as Scott's Sister?

hey! Not my fault. I tore a muscle in my thigh and ripped a whatever in my knee. I got a shot of cortisone for the knee and vicoden for the leg, and have been sitting with my feet propped up studying and surfing.

You better watch your back at airshows from now on. Scott's real sister will be gunning for you now

Thanks a bunch Scott for your time and effort. I have no problem whatsoever with your decision. I say do whatever it takes to prevent this board from becoming something you no longer wish to host and maintain. I'm here for the warbird content as are, I think, most other folks. I'd hate to see the site go away because a few people with other agendas don't have enough self control to stay on topic.

Being quite new here without a lot of baggage, I'd say this is a very well moderated forum by Scott and team with minimal doo-doo comparatively.
Scott, if you want to feel better talk to Rob Lay over at his FerrariChat site about the Politics and Religion section. :)
You guys do a great job, have the patience of Job and we appreciate it.

Scott,

"You pay the bills, You make the rules", it is as simple as that, if others dont agree with that its their problem.

I appreciate your efforts here and your even handedness, as again displayed in your inclusion of our opinions in this issue.

I am sorry to hear you have received abusive emails from people who freely enjoy the labour of your hard work, they are indeed lucky you havent "named&shamed" them or simply deleted their membership, again demonstrating your even handedness in this issue.

Again thanks for your efforts here

regards

Mark Pilkington
