Ya know, I also like the war weary look too!

I kinda like the idea of an airplane showing up to an airshow looking like it just came back from a mission. As long as the airplane is structurally sound and has well maintained engines and systems I say they should keep that colour scheme!

Thanks for posting the picture.

Cheers,

David

Looks more like a Florida roof cover

A couple of years ago my girlfreind and I were visiting her home town in southeast Alabama (after spending a few days in Pensacola of course.) It was about a week after Hurricane Dennis had blown through, and about ten months after Ivan. I asked her if the Alabama state flag was the blue tarp, since everyone seemed to have one on their roof.

This Mustang was seen at South county airport this summer. I belive It now resides in a hanger. I've heard that the B-25 belongs to the same guy.

Yes, the Mustang is also Ken McBrides. When you saw the Mustang was probably in late May or early June, as the Museum (Wings Of History) had to make room for a Kinner that was donated at that time.

Now before you guys get really excited above this cover too, the Mustang was only outside temporarily.

Is this the same B-25 that at one time carried kind of a Doolittle paint scheme?

I remember this one well.

Back in the mid-90's at Stratford CT. I believe Tallichet brought in his B-24, B-17, P-51, Avenger, and B-25 to our airport. Anyone have any pics of this tour that Tallichet put on?

Almost took off my head when i was younger. I was looking in the bomb bay and turned away just in time. Before I knew it somebody in the cockpit closed the doors and nearly missed a lawsuit

I guess I'm kinda late chiming in on this one. The B-25 pictured was----until about three weeks ago-----the one that sat outside our hangar at Fairfield County (Ohio) Airport for the past three (or was it four?) years. She flew in for our airshow and simply didn't leave. I had been told she was taken out to California but wasn't sure of the exact location.
