Dude - that sucks. :x :x :minigun:

Here's hoping that they nail the hoodlums that did this and that you can recover your stuff.

You have any serial numbers? I've got a few law enforcement contacts, and I can see if they can add it onto a list that goes to all the pawn shops.

The sad part is, even if caught the punishment is light. Many years ago I was at a boat ramp at Phil Foster park on Singer Island FL. I had just docked my boat and was walking thru the parking lot to my truck when I saw an undesirable looking guy, up to his shoulder in a Ford F250's side vent window reaching for the door lock inside. He had a backpack and screwdriver lying on the ground and had obviously broken out the little window to get his arm inside. I confronted him (probably dumb, but I was young and felt I could kick his ass.....). So he takes off and heads up on the bridge that crosses the intracoastal. It's a big bridge, and he was heading from the island side to the mainland side. This gave me time to run over to a lifeguard tower, and got the police on the phone. They were able to pick him up on the other side of the bridge, since he had nowhere to go. I then go thru the process of ID'ing him, and then a few weeks later I get dragged to court as a witness. I felt it was worth my time as a good citizen to help prosecute him. Low and behold, the prosecutor arrives completely unprepared, and didn't even notify the vehicle owner who needed to be there to press charges! They let the scumbag walk out of there as they said they had to drop the whole issue. Needless to say, I was p*ssed.

Mustangdriver,

I have been out of town on a trip for a few days........so I had not seen the news concerning your ripoff. Very sorry to hear this has happened to you. There are sure some real jacko*f jerks out there it seems! Hope things work out to some sort of satisfactory ending with the whole matter. :?

MD, I'm sorry to hear you got yanked. But look at it in the larger context of things: It could have been your house, your life, or threatened your love ones. Jack Cook could confirm that life's distractions shouldn't keep you from keeping on, eh?
