This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Noted on from the highway on the way home from San Diego: At the county air strip at San Martin, CA, just 15 minutes south of here, a new aircraft is parked under the tower!
B 25 J, OD color, upper turret removed, tail number 7 V. I could not see the AAF numbers. ( I will go down there next week after I recover)
I called them down there and was told that a gentleman from Morgan Hill purchased it a couple of weeks ago in the mid-west and flew it out here last week. It will be based there.

It sounds like the one you mention (ex-Tallichet N3161G). I heard last weekend that it was parked out at South County Airport (San Martin) but haven't had a chance to get down there yet.

Yes, I spotted it two weeks ago when I was over in the USA visiting my friend who lives in San Jose. Was meaning to post an ID request when I got back, but forgot all about it

I think that's the same B-25 I saw in a hangar at the MAPS air museum about five yers ago. I definately looked a bit worse for wear even then.

If Tallichet had any money he would have gone to the same source of canopy covers as Bill Greenwood.
