I can't believe you posted that. I was compelled to watch that movie four or five times when the teachers ran out of things to do in grade school. God Bless Don Knotts!

I always enjoy the chuckle at the end of your pix posts, Jack.

The Don Knotts stuff is great! I always impresses me how much credit Bud Anderson gives to his ground crew.

These photos remind me of something that was impressed on me a few months ago one Saturday down at Lone Star. Several of us were assigned to assemble cowlings on the PB4Y-2 to see what was there and what wasn't. It's got the B-25 r-2600 upgrade and all the cowlings were in piles of pieces with only some vague suggestions of what was where.
About halfway through the first one with only the other engine and the B-25 parts book for reference, dripping with sweat and grumbling about H&P metal hackers, I suddenly realized that I had learned a whole new level of respect for guys like the oned pictured above. I was indoors with a water fountain nearby; these guys were in all kinds of inhospitable places. I felt ashamed of grumbling.

respectfully,
Doug Ratchford.
