Okay - let me clarify.

We had the 'list' of those who were to attend, and their 'designated parking space' so we (the line crew) could both put them where they belonged, and find them when time to go fly.

It was our responsiblity (more specifically, my daughter Jenny) to track who was there, and who had had their photograph taken. Mr Patterson only has photos of 75 a/c, because Mr Anderson (of the former CF-FUZ aircraft) elected not to have a photo taken of his not-yet-completed paint.

The initial confusion over Scat VI was because she marked it instead of Scat VII, and then scratched it out and marked Scat VII - and she has said all along that Scat VI was NOT there. (see - I should have listened to her). However, others were claiming to have seen it (not just you, Mark V), so I finally asked Mr Maxwell - figured he'd know :-)

The list I posted is the official attendance - if a plane is NOT on that list, it WAS NOT THERE.

We did have some pilots sans aircraft... either due to weather or mechanical, or whatever. I did not see Mr Thibodeau.. but that does not mean he wasn't there. I think I did see Mr Thurman in passing - former owner of Slender Tender & Tall, and of Kentucky Babe - which was re-painted as Crazy Horse 2. (I think he likes Bluenosers...)

Thanks

I understand Mike Bertz was there without N11636. Alternator failure is what I was told.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "Cavalier T.Mk 2" !!!!!
Correct it in your own personal documents, too, if you have them.

Ridding this nomenclature from the english (American) language will be like trying to rid ourselves of the Attorney term - Irregardless ! good luck

Many thanks for the list of Mustangs attending the show which was well worth the trip.

That list produces a question which hopefully someone can answer.

Boomer is listed as being N94384 45-11453 / 44-74832.

On checking my photographs I have Boomer as being N(L ?) 551TM, which from checking the FAA N- Inquiry is a different aircraft.

Any thoughts folks ?

Could it be? this is thinking outside the Box, but I am sure that someone has a more definite answer, but could it be that the "L" is thrown in there as meaning "Limited"?

Yes, L is for limited. There are Fars which dictate the markings applied for registration. For a classic aircraft older than 30 years old you can use 2" markings and include L, X or R between the N and the numbers in the US. Otherwise Limited, Experimental or Restricted must be written out near the cockpit access for everyone to see.

Yep, I understood about the marking for Limited Experimental being posted and the size of the Civil Registration Numbers as you describe, but what about an "L" in the Registration Number, as I was pondering BigEd's question. where as i.e. B-25 registered and photographed as N2849G and the same B-25 with an applied and photographed registration as NL2849G
