We are looking for static display aircraft to put into our new museum. We are also interested in a cut-away 1340 engine.
Any help with finding some derilect aircraft would be greatly appreciated.

VFM has a couple of Convair 600 freighters sitting out in the grass next to the south hangar, and we have no use for them. The 600 is powered by Rolls-Royce Dart turboprops. They're certainly not warbirds by any stretch of the imagination, but they are definitely classics that would make great static displays. Both were donated to the Museum when their former operator, Kitty Hawk Air Freight, went to an all-jet fleet. The first airplane is a true derelict. It's complete except that it has no engines or props. The second one has both engines and both props and could probably be made airworthy again. KHA flew it into Meacham, left it parked for a few years just down the ramp from our Museum, and then eventually donated to us. One of our members told me that he had heard that one engine is out of hours but the other isn't. I dunno how true that is. I'll be working at the Museum tomorrow. If you're interested, I'll make an inquiry for you.

Cheers!
