Made it home safely in San Antonio from Houston at 8:06 pm this evening... Wish I could've stayed both days, but couldn't.

Saw Ryan Harris (the "lucky duck" was hanging out with Glacier Girl!), NathanT24, Elroy13, and the great Mr. Tim Landers - courtesy of whom I was escorting Lt. Col. Cole, Gen. Doolittle's copilot on the Doolittle Raid. REALLY enjoyed being there and only wish I could've taken a bit more of the show in, but that wasn't why I was there...

It was a good day with safe flying. Hope tomorrow goes well also!

Pictures to follow - probably Monday.

Ryan

How was the weather there? Did LSFM have the Hurricane or Spitfire there, or how about Rayborn Thompson? He was not at Midland. I spent the weekend glider flying and took a friend for a ride. The Spitfire goes in for annual at the end of the month. Weather has been beautiful in Colorado, except for one brief cold front.

Bill, the weather was a bit crazy! Hot and humid with the shun out and the next minute dark overcast with a nice cool breeze. Both days had its share or rain off and on.
The LSFM Spit was unable to make it. The Hurricane is in the process of being put back together after the paint shop. Rayburn did show up with his. Check out the thread in the Hangar. Ryan posted some pics of Rayburns Spit.
