That's a nice looking plane, but yes, I imagine it's a little steep.

Regardless, I still want one.

Pretty, in a TriMotor sort of way. But talk about your classic Grandpa's axe scenario ! New fuselage and wing skins,, new wood, new interior,...what's left from 1929 ?

Nice looking aircraft...but I agree the price is steep.

At the Airzoo people always get a good laugh when they learn about the toilet issue. Don't know if it's true or not, but I've heard that the restroom had a sign in it that warned not to use it over heavily populated areas!

Was this the same plane that was used in the 1960's Jerry Lewis movie My Favoriet Uncle ?

Speaking of grandpa's axe or George Washington's axe as I have heard.
The local newspaper did a write up on the restoration. While the plane was sitting on the ramp at Pearl, 12/07/41, it received some bullet holes from strafing Japanese aircraft. Those places were patched. During the recent resto. the patched panels were replaced with new. It could be that they had to be replaced because of corrosion problems, barring that, if it was me: I'd leave it alone and sell it with the patches. Just my .02 cents.. hey, probably not even worth that.
