The Pe-2 is another Rooshin type I'd love to see in the air. Very slick looking bird.

Not Russian, but as for "forgotten" warbirds, I really wish someone had preserved a PZL P-37 "Los" bomber..always thought it was a cool looking machine.

In the photo I see IL-2s with the original armor cockpit, original wings,
landing gear, may be propeller is original too , but rear part of
fuselage is mock-up.

The Il-2 rear fuselage was wooden on 32000 airplanes and 4500 had metal rear fuselage

Wings were wooden for half of IL-2 and the other half have a metal covered wings with some made from aluminum from US under lend-lease.
