G'day folks,

I'm following this auction on ebay, I may be interested in adding it to my office collection;

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/WWII-Aircraft-Pa ... dZViewItem

It isn't mine and I'm not touting for business, even though the seller has some interesting warbird stuff.

Can anyone tell me what this seat would be made of?

Cheers,
Matt

Hi ,
The seat is made of phenolic the same material as control pulleys not bakalite. I have the same seat it came out of a PT-23 :shock: They are very stong and much better than the wood seats.

Thanks Mike

The seat is from a CAC built CA-18 Mustang and is made from moulded plywood (with timber reinforcing) that is covered with Madapolam fabric and painted.
