Very nice photos. I notice that there are different style nose wheels on these T-28s. Why the difference?

Regarding the nose wheels:
The smaller wheel with the lower profile tire is the 'correct' nose wheel combination. Interestingly enough, a friend of mine who owns a T-28 and who has extensive fixed-wing and rotorcraft flying experience (as well as T-38 Talon experience) said that the main gear tire is a perfect fit as a T-28 nose wheel tire. (And, that's what he currently uses for his T-28.)
Since those may be hard to acquire, some of the other T-28s are using alternate wheel/tire combinations.

Hope that helps a bit...

Regards,
Mike

Isn't the skinny wheel/tire correct for the carrier variants? I don' think that the USAF variants ever used that combo.

Not true Steve.
All Navy T-28s used the high pressure tire.

My bad, I was under the impression that the high pressure tire went with the tailhook and short prop and the "B" that you see switched to the the high pressure tire not the other way around.

Where were these taken? I recognize a couple of those T-28s. There is also a T-6 in there that is a friend of mines.
