It went to Canada in exchange for NX240CA (the F4U-4)...not sure of the names involved.

Mike Potter is getting the FG-1D, and I believe the -4 is going to Doug Matthews, although I could be wrong on that part.

There was an official Vintage Wings of Canada Press Release posted by Mike Henninger about two weeks ago I believe. The plan is to eventually put her in Canadian markings.

The FG-1D is slated to arrive at Vintage Wings of Canada by the weekend and if I remember right Doug is flying the -4 at the CNE airshow in Toronto as part of a Legacy Flight this weekend.

The F4U-4 will remain with VWC for a while. The plan is to sell it at some point. I don't know when, and officially I don't know to whom.

For the official VWC website along with some great articles and crew bios visit...
http://www.vintagewings.ca

I have my own VWC page with links to photo albums of earch airframe in the collection along with serial numbers. To find it go to...

As for the FG-1D arrival it was expected to arrive tomorrow. A hydraulic issue developed along the way. I am waiting to hear the new ETA. It may still be tomorrow, or possibly Friday.

The Corsair is here at The Cavanaugh Flight Museum. Stuart Milson was taking it to Canada and RON'd here. He developed a hydraulic leak after departing and returned after pumping the gear down. ATC asked him to hold while they let out some IFR planes and Stuart told them to "Hold it up thier ass" or words to that effect. He made a greased on, no flap landing. I don't know of many pilots who could have done as great a job, (thanks for the beer Stuart  ) We haven't been able to find the source of the leak, but we're still working on it.
