Anyone know what time the gates will open? Man, this wedding is going throwing a wrench into this airshow. I might not be able to get any sleep for Sunday but I sure don't want to miss that day if I don't have to. As we said in the Nav- you can sleep when your dead, We're in ....

I'm sorry for the ones that can't go  I can hardly wait!
Hopefully this week the extra battery and 2GB CF card for my camera will arrive.
I've also changed my ticket so I will fly from Columbus to New York Newark and stay there till the 4th Oct. to visit ground zero and whatever else there is to see.

I still have extra hotel rooms that need to be taken that I will loose in the next week or so. let me know if you still need rooms!!!!

Looks like I won't be able to go :( Car repairs just blew through the funds I had put aside for this event. Oh well, makes sure you guys take lots of pictures and video.

I'll try to remember that when I'm there

Sorry to hear that Scott, I hope that I don't get any more days cut out of the show or lose the whole weekend if my house sells, which I'd be very happy to have happen but I'd love it not to kill the GML.

Tim

I will be working the Mustang line crew the entire week (arriving early & staying late) and will occasionally sleeping at the Obetz Comfort Inn (like many of you). Please let us all know if someone actually organizes a WIX meeting time & place.
Scott, you are not really worried that there will not be lots of pictures of this event, are you?
FYI #1: That weekend is also the WWI rendezvous at the NMUSAF in Dayton. Details on their web site.
FYI #2: The Urbana, OH B17 group is slightly Northeast of Dayton and they work on Saturday mornings, if you want to jam even more stuff in on your visit to GML. :|

By the way, the Dawn Patrol at NMUSAF is the weekend PRIOR to GML, not the same weekend.

That sucks Scott,
I am really close too, running on the cheap!

Seems that some one would have some extra room and maybe catching a ride from your AO. etc.

If my wife can't make it (her Mom is 90 and ill) your welcome to her ticket.
I hope she can make it though, she is better looking than you. :P

Just posted on the GML website is a map of the show layout:

http://www.gml2007.com/vinfo_map.asp

There looks to be a decent amout of general admission (grass) seating/viewing area compared to the box/grandstands. But of course look how much space is taken up by the corporate chalets. :x

I'm planning to be in the West end but look whats down there to block our view and screw up photog, a Jumbo Tron! I hate those things.

Pete

HI guys,
I arrive Thursday evening into CMH on Southwest, Flight 2969 at 6.15 pm.Chuck Gardner is picking me up. If anyone needs a ride to the Obetz comfort Inn, let me know , sure we can squeeze in a couple. Also i to have a spare room at the Obetz for Friday and Saturday night, drop me a line if anyone is interested.
Anybody planning on getting together to swap lies at the hotel yet?
Simon

Any word as to whether any of them had shown up yet?

I figure with 100 airplanes there would be a few being moved by the same people over the next week or so.

As far as I know, there isn't anything yet, but I'll check.

One of my biggest clients has a Gulfstream at the hanger that, if I get my bearings right, is right under the 'Main Entrance' test on that map. The pilot told me that he's gonna be there the whole time, and is going to spot me one of their spare passes.

No porta-potties for this guy....no sirree.

I haven't been watching this thread too closely. Has a decision been made regarding a meeting location and time for a group picture?

If no location has been decided I will suggest the Vintage Wings Mustang, Y2 C, as relatively speeking it is disctinctively painted.
