Today at CFM there was a reception for the Tuskegee Airmen. I took a few pics with my phone (bad quality, but thought I'd share). I rode backseat in our T-6. We did a missing man with Carl Best and Brian Porsche. Kevin Reilly of CFM was flying Lou Shaw's (spelling?) P-51D. Some Current Military aircraft were there including a Turbo T-34, TC-12B and T-45C. Enjoy!

Nice photo's Taylor. I know it was windy here at the house, but the way those props are bent, must have really going at altitude
I guess the C-130 didn't fit between the hangars??

Lynn, unfortunately, the C-130 didn't make it. Mechanical problems.

If it had arrived, it would have fit betwen the hangers easily.....with at least 12 inches to spare on each wingtip................. :)

Just out of curiosity which T-6 is Carl's? I knew him some years ago when he was involved in Reno, but haven't seen him for some time. A good guy...

Yes Neal, that's me. I was at Reno last year, I thought I saw you and Birgitta, but then again I had way too much to drink that week. I'll be in Reno again this year, debating flying the T-6 out there as I really can't stand airline travel. FYI, I flew the T-6 out the Chino this spring to see the Planes of Fame Airshow, nice trip, great show.

Taylor, thanks for posting the photos of our formation yesterday. Lead was in position at all times. I noticed in the photos that my prop blades are all pretzel shaped. Must be why I had that vibration on the right mag on the run up. Amazingly, the prop blades straightend themselves out by the time I landed back at Aero Country. I changed the oil and the plugs yesterday afternoon, and it now runs smooth as glass on the ground. Need to find out how to keep those prop blades from bending in flight though
