Great day today at Boulder, Colorado - United States.
Clear skys, lots of aircraft, and much to see.

Thanks to Bill Greenwood for bringing the TE308 and taking the time to chat.
Thanks also to the guys at KAPA who flew in the T-6's for the event.

Those were really nice pics, especially of the T-6s. The weather interveened and I didn't get to fly over the cemetary in the afternoon. Wish I had flown during the morning. There are some inaccuracies with the past photos of my plane, I will try to send you a PM on them, as far as I know it, soon.

Hmmmm...missed this one on my schedule....was up FISHING during the day (caught 10)....recognize John Zayac's and Jack Cronyn's T-6's but whose is the blue one with the number 55 on it? New to Colorado or a visitor from out of state?

Mark,
The Blue 1942 North American SNJ-3 "Trophy Hunter"
belongs to Gary Miller.

He has been at several of Colorado's air shows/open houses for a few years.
Last year he was at Watkins,CO. This year he was at Broomfield,CO and of course Boulder.
I see him fly over the Columbine High School Area every now and then out of KAPA.

Beautiful pics! Man, that shot of the Flatirons takes me back. I lived in Lafeyette (about 12 miles east of Boulder) for a couple of years back in the early '80s. Those flying shots must have been shot with a pretty long lens..I don't remember the airport being that close to the mountains.

That is Dick Jones flying John' s plane, the grey fuselage with no. 12. Dick is a very long time warbird owner who recently sold his T-6, but is still in the air in some friend's planes. The Boulder airport is one of those all too few places left with good runway, great surrondings, no control tower or big hassle, rare jet traffic, a flight school, maintenance shop, and glider flying. There is a glider club, SSB, and a glider school that does many rides, Mile Hi Gliding. I especially like Boulder and the U of Colorado when the Longhorns come to town to give them football lessons.
